Religion and Modern Doubts
By Swami Nirvedananda, 175 Pages, Paperback.
The author aims at showing that the religion and science are not opposed to each other but they are complementary activities of spirit. Science can profitably take account of the inner rhythm of religion in order to grow out of its own materialistic presumptions.
There is no attempt to substitute social activity or morality, technology or politics for real religion. Always light is sought in the depths of religion. Here is the only hope for the future. "one learns" says the writer, "to respect all scriptures, all prophets and apostles, and to bend with equal reverence before the Buddhist Vihara, the Christian church, the Moslem mosque and the Hindu temple".
