By Swami Abhedananda, 182 pages, Hardcover.
Swami Abhedananda, who was known for his great austerities, travelled barefoot all over India from 1888 to 1895. At the request of Swami Vivekananda, he took charge of the Vedanta Society of New York in 1897 and spent 24 years in the West. He travelled extensively throughout North America and Europe, crossing the Atlantic seventeen times, and knew most of the prominent thinkers of his day. He was one of the first outsiders to visit Tibet and discovered some rare manuscripts about the life of Jesus there.
